The Mullica Hill campus is located approximately three miles south of the town of Mullica Hill, in a rural southern New Jersey location. The campus-based program includes 12 apartments and two group homes, fashioned after a typical apartment complex in the greater community. The program is designed for individuals who require a higher degree of staff support and supervision than that often found in greater community settings. Staff-to-persons served ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4.
Individuals served by the program receive a level of staff supervision and support that is commensurate with their need to develop independent living skills. Residential instruction focuses on skill development in the areas of activities of daily living, communication and appropriate social skills, as well as recreation and leisure skill development.
For many individuals, the Mullica Hill program is a temporary placement or step prior to moving to the community. The Mullica Hill staff works closely with staff from other Bancroft programs to help individuals transition to the most appropriate community-based program.
Outcomes
Bancroft's Mullica Hill Residential Program provides individuals the opportunity
to develop skills of daily living that help them to progress toward their
maximum level of independence and to be able to live in less-restrictive
settings. The program staff helps each person served to meet individualized
goals appropriate to his/her specific needs, with the ultimate objective
of living the most independent and fulfilling life possible.
