The Haddonfield Campus Residential Program serves a unique and important role in Bancroft NeuroHealth's continuum of residential options for children with developmental disabilities. This program is often the “next step” in a child's transition from our most intensive treatment at the Lindens neurobehavioral stabilization program, introducing the child back into a more home-like setting and routine. Specializing in maintaining behavioral stability and teaching daily living skills, the campus program's primary goal is to prepare a child for more natural, less restrictive community living such as a group home or apartment, or a return to his/her family's home.
Outcomes
The pediatric campus residential program is very successful in providing
an environment for children with disabilities to experience the normal routine
of daily life. For most children, the campus program serves as a one- to
three-year program that enables them to gain experiences and skills needed
to move into a less restrictive community setting.
