Bancroft School at Voorhees Pediatric Facility provides a specialized educational program that promotes the acquisition of new skills that can facilitate the child's return to home and community. Services include:
- Developing individualized educational plans with child study teams to specifically address the educational needs of each student;
- All necessary related services within an integrated model of service delivery;
- Systematic intervention strategies for parents, to ensure support, maintenance and generalization of acquired skills;
- Developing each student's educational potential and assisting in the transition to a less restrictive program/environment, when appropriate; and
- Opportunities for children to connect with their community and enhance their learning environment through the latest assistive and computer technology.

The Bancroft School at Voorhees Pediatric Facility (VPF) consists of five classrooms that can accommodate a total of 65 students, ages 3 to 21. Teachers are certified in special education and receive ongoing specialized training to increase the growth and milestone potential of the children. Each classroom also has two teacher assistants and one certified registered nurse. Rehabilitation therapists work closely with the educational staff, providing services within an integrated model.

Together, the Bancroft staff, the staff at Voorhees Pediatric Facility, child study teams and parents/guardians establish short- and long-term realistic objectives to enhance the quality of life for the children, develop their skills to their fullest potential and ensure the necessary emotional, educational, medical and therapeutic support for the child to successfully transition, if possible, to a less restrictive environment.

The program is unique in that all medically related issues are taken care of in the classroom by a classroom nurse, with additional support provided by the medical team from VPF.
