Bancroft's Early Childhood Services offer a range of therapeutic and educational services designed to help infants, toddlers and young children achieve their developmental milestones. Set in familiar environments, the program allows the child to participate with other children with or without disabilities and accommodates the family's lifestyle, routine and schedule.
The Early Intervention Program (EIP) provides early learning and therapeutic services to infants and toddlers who show delays in reaching developmental milestones, or who have a medical diagnosis that puts them at risk for delays. Services are individualized based on each child's needs and utilize all the disciplines offered by Bancroft to ensure the best care. EIP also offers counseling for families, parent training and mentoring, support groups, sibling support groups, transitional supports to public school settings; and referrals and registration for services such as Medicaid, housing, rent and food assistance, among others.
Little Butterflies, our inclusive daycare program, provides structured activities designed to help each child learn and grow. These include art, music and periodic community outings, while helping children establish social skills and friendships by interacting in a comfortable and supportive environment. A range of professionals is available on site for consultations, including behavior therapists and special education professionals.
Social Enrichment Skills Groups are also available to help build social competence for children. The groups focus on helping children have contact with peers in social situations, sustaining social interaction with a peer or friend, and decreasing controlling or rigid behaviors that interfere with the child's ability to establish or maintain friendships.
