Free Developmental Disabilities Workshops

Who should attend?
Anyone interested in learning more about developmental disabilities, including autism.

Cost? No cost.

Bancroft is pleased to offer a free workshop series on topics related to developmental disabilities and related disorders. The workshops focus on topics of interest and concern to families and professionals*, including: managing behaviors at home, special education law, communication skill building, among others.

The schedule for 2007-2008 workshops is:

• Bringing NJ Special Education Law into Focus
Wednesday, October 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• Managing Behaviors in Home and School
Wednesday, October 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• Communication Skill Building
Wednesday, November 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• An Overview of Attention Deficit Disorders
Wednesday, January 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• Expanding Food Choices: Sensory, Motor and Behavioral Perspectives
Wednesday, February 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• Sexuality and People with Developmental Disabilities
Wednesday, March 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• Characteristics of Autism
Wednesday, April 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• The Autism Epidemic
Wednesday, April 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• An Overview of Asperger’s Syndrome
Wednesday, May 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

*Continuing education credits (CEU) available for educators.
