The Bacon Brothers Hit The Beach To Benefit Bancroft NeuroHealth

The Bacon Brothers to Appear Live in Concert

Wildwood, N.J. – The Bacon Brothers, featuring the talents of famed actor Kevin Bacon and brother Michael, will hold a one-night-only concert to benefit Bancroft NeuroHealth. The brothers’ return home to the Philadelphia region will raise funds for the nonprofit organization, which provides comprehensive services for children and adults with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and other neurological challenges.

Since 1995, Kevin and Michael Bacon have recorded and toured with their band. They have played sold-out shows in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and other cities, and now bring their music to The Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, N.J. at 7:30 p.m. to benefit Bancroft’s programs and services.

Not only will the Philadelphia-born Bacon brothers volunteer their time to help Bancroft and their sister, Hilda Bacon, who works as the director of special events for Bancroft NeuroHealth, but two prominent local businesses, Wawa and Tastykake, will sponsor the event. The Bacon Brothers previously joined forces with Wawa and Tastykake in October 2005 to hold the original Bacon Brothers benefit concert for Bancroft. Based on the success of the first event, coming together for another concert proved an easy decision for the band, the sponsors and, of course, Bancroft.

“Wawa is proud to continue to support Bancroft,” said Dave Yeager, Senior Director of Store Operations for Wawa, Inc. “We have enjoyed watching persons served flourish, beginning in 1994 when Bancroft students participated in the first job training session at a Wawa store. We’re delighted to employ individuals from Bancroft and pleased to sponsor events like this.”

Tickets to the concert are $20 for all seating. For tickets, call the Wildwoods Convention Center Box Office at (609) 729-9000 or visit: www.ticketmaster.com.

Founded in 1883, Bancroft NeuroHealth is a non-profit organization that annually serves 1,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and other neurological disabilities. Based in Haddonfield, N.J., Bancroft has sites across southern New Jersey, and in Delaware and Louisiana. Programs include education, rehabilitation, and vocational, residential, evaluation and treatment services.
