Bancroft NeuroHealth Announces Co-Chairs and Award Recipients for 2006 Gala

Haddonfield, NJ – Dr. and Mrs. Sheldon Berkman of Pennington, New Jersey are the co-chairs of the 14th Annual Bancroft Gala, The Butterfly Ball. Proceeds from The Butterfly Ball, taking place Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Princeton Marriott at Forrestal Center, will benefit the nonprofit in its mission to provide comprehensive services for individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and other neurological challenges. This year’s ball will specifically support vocational services for both children and adults served by Bancroft.

As part of the festivities, Bancroft will honor New Jersey State Senate President, the Honorable Richard J. Codey, a long time friend and advocate for children and adults with disabilities, with the Bancroft NeuroHealth Citizenship Award. In addition, Commerce Bank and Commerce Insurance Services will be presented with the Margaret Bancroft Award for their continued commitment to people with disabilities through their strong and ongoing support of the Bancroft organization.

“Dr. and Mrs. Berkman are longtime supporters of Bancroft NeuroHealth and we are thrilled and grateful that they are serving as co-chairs of the Butterfly Ball, a fabulous evening with fine cuisine, good friends and lively music and dancing,” Martha Dunn, vice president of the Bancroft Foundation said. “We also sincerely thank our award recipients Commerce Bank, Commerce Insurance Services and the Honorable Richard J. Codey for their ongoing support and commitment to people with disabilities. The funds raised from the Butterfly Ball benefit Bancroft’s programs and services so we can continue to provide each person served with the opportunity to live the most independent and fulfilling life possible.”
