Workshop: Enriching the Spiritual Lives of People with Disabilities
Bancroft NeuroHealth will host a workshop to focus on ways to enrich the spiritual lives of people with disabilities.
Prominent educators representing faith-based organizations are scheduled to participate in the Inclusive Ministry Workshop. Now in its sixth year, the event will be held Sunday, April 13, from 12:30 - 4:45 pm at The Bancroft School, 425 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ.
Topics to be discussed include:
- • Best Strategies for Inclusion Within Jewish and Christian Traditions
- • Building Relationships Between Congregations, Families, Individuals and Agencies
- • Living a Religious Life with Autism in the Family
Speakers include Rev. William Gaventa, M. Div., Associate Professor Director of the Elizabeth M. Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, New Brunswick, NJ and Rabbi Joanne Yocheved Heiligman, Congregation Shalom Aleichem in Columbia, MD; Howard County Autism Society.
The workshop is open to the general public, clergy, religious instructors, parish or congregation leaders, people with disabilities and anyone who has a person with disabilities in the family. Registration of $10 includes light refreshments.
