Bancroft’s Supported Employment Surprise Patrol paid a visit to Petco of Cherry Hill on Monday, June 7th in honor of the company’s support of employing people with disabilities. In recognition of Brad Silberstein’s 15 year career at Petco—Mr. Silberstein is a person served in Bancroft’s Community Services for Adults Program—Bancroft recognized the company with a surprise lunch, cake and a special plaque recognizing Petco as an Employer with Vision. Bancroft’s surprise patrols are reserved for community businesses that truly understand that providing employment opportunities to those with disabilities is very often a “Win-Win.”
According to Petco Store Manager, Jason Spiris, “Brad is very passionate about the work he does and always likes to make sure he’s doing a good job. Over the years, he has been through many general managers, as well as a relocation, and has proven himself to be able to grow with the company as the company has grown. He is a solid part of our Petco family.”
According to Dr. Dan Keating of Bancroft, “Our Mission at Bancroft is to help individuals lead more fulfilling lives as respected members of our communities. There is no better way to do this than through employment. We are grateful to Petco for providing these opportunities. And, we congratulate Mr. Silberstein for his success there over such a long period.”
