WHAT: Bancroft NeuroHealth's FREE workshop series on topics related to developmental disabilities will hold a workshop on Classroom Strategies for Teaching Children with Aspergers Disorder. The unique needs, challenges and rewards of teaching children with Aspergers Disorder will be discussed. Strategies to promote social skills, effective communication techniques, reduction of sensory stimulation and increasing desired behaviors will be explored. Also to be discussed are the classroom management plan and managing the learning environment. The workshop is open to the public. Educational professionals are encouraged to attend; continuing education credits (CEUs) are available.

Based in Haddonfield, NJ, Bancroft has sites in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Ocean, Salem and Middlesex counties in New Jersey, and in Delaware. Programs include education, rehabilitation, vocational, residential, evaluation and treatment services.
