WHAT: Bancroft NeuroHealth's FREE workshop series on topics related to developmental disabilities will hold a workshop on Sexuality and People with Developmental Disabilities. The focus will be on sexual development of children from birth through the onset of adulthood. The stages of sexual development, educational strategies to promote understanding of physical and social sexual changes for the teenager with a developmental disability and the importance of open communication on sexuality as a natural part of human life will be discussed. Families of individuals with developmental disabilities and professionals are encouraged to attend; continuing education credits (CEUs) are available.

Founded in 1883, Bancroft annually serves more than 1,300 children and adults with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and other neurological impairments. Based in Haddonfield, NJ, Bancroft has sites in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Ocean, Salem and Middlesex counties in New Jersey, and in Delaware. Programs include education, rehabilitation, vocational, residential, evaluation and treatment services.
