Workshop Offers Religious Leaders Ideas To Increase Spiritual Opportunities for People with Disabilities
Haddonfield, NJ - April 2009 - Prominent educators representing faith-based organizations are scheduled to participate in the Inclusive Ministry Workshop. Now in its seventh year, the event will be held Sunday, April 19 from 2:30 pm to 6:45 pm at The Bancroft School Cafetorium, 425 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ.
The workshop is open to the general public, parish and congregation leaders, priests, rabbis, ministers, religious education staff, youth group leaders, people with disabilities and their families.
Topics to be discussed include:
• "Communities of Faith & Individuals with Autism: Perfect Together"
Speaker: Mary Beth Walsh, Ph.D. Catholic Theologian, Board Member of The Association of Science in Autism Treatment, and parent of a child with autism• "Including People who are Deaf"
Speaker: Sister Bonnie McMenamin, Director of Office for Ministry with the Deaf, Diocese of Camden• "Supporting Siblings of Individuals with Disabilities"
