1.19.11 | Cherry Hill Woman Joins Bancroft as Director of Public Relations

Haddonfield, N.J.—January 19, 2011Bancroft, a leading nonprofit organization serving people with neurological challenges, has named Julie Walsh as director of public relations.  Julie Walsh

An award-winning communications professional, Walsh has more than 20 years of experience in public relations and journalism. In her new position, she oversees and manages Bancroft’s public relations activities, including media relations and content of newsletters, brochures and websites.

Walsh had served as director of communications for Bancroft in the mid-1990s, and was a consultant to the organization in recent years. Her most recent positions also include editor of sjArts, a monthly magazine covering the arts in South Jersey, and writer and copyeditor for SJ Magazine.
 
Walsh earned her bachelor’s degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Cherry Hill, N.J., with her husband and two sons.

Based in Haddonfield, N.J., Bancroft annually serves more than 1,300 children and adults with intellectual and developmental challenges and acquired brain injuries. Founded in 1883, the organization has sites in South and Central New Jersey, Southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. Programs include educational, vocational, residential, in-home and outpatient services.

Bancroft strives to ensure that every person is given opportunities for lifelong learning and fulfillment. It does this by altering perceptions and supporting people with neurological challenges in achieving their life goals as valued and respected members of our world.
