Gary Pignatello was named Principal of The Kohler Academy in Mountainside, NJ, in January 2022. He brings more than three decades of experience in special education, working as a paraprofessional, teacher, social worker, counselor and administrator in both public and private school settings.
He believes school must be a place of safety, love and respect, and that schools and educators must strive to help every student reach their highest potential. He believes special educators must be skilled at finding how each individual learns best, and developing the tools to implement that learning.
