Early Intervention

The best advantage for the youngest children

Early Intervention provides early learning and therapeutic services to infants and toddlers, from birth to age 3, who demonstrate delays in reaching developmental milestones or who have a medical diagnosis that puts them at risk for delays.

The Bancroft Difference

Bancroft recognizes that this early diagnosis and intervention time can be very difficult on families. Our staff of highly qualified and committed professionals collaborates with The New Jersey Early Intervention System, families and community agencies in making this service accessible.

We provide a cohesive approach to every child’s development, work together to meet the developmental outcomes defined in The Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and offer resources and training to the family to assist with daily routines.

Flexible Services, Flexible Schedules

To accommodate families’ scheduling needs, Early Intervention services are available in the early morning, late afternoon, evening and on weekends and in a family’s home, community or daycare. Work with your care team to determine the best times for in-home therapies.

Individualized Services for Maximum Potential

Early Intervention services are based on each child’s individual needs. Our professional staff members typically work with the child and family in their home, but we can also provide services in the child’s daycare center, nursery school, or other settings in the community.

Bancroft Early Intervention Services Include:

  • Social play groups
  • Physical, occupational and speech therapy
  • Sensory integration
  • Behavior therapy
  • Parent and family training, coaching or mentoring
  • Sibling support groups
  • Goal and objective development
  • Social-work support
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Supports for transitioning to school
