WEBINAR: From Concussion to Recovery

September 28, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

From Concussion to Recovery: A Multi-Faceted Approach

Concussion may be an invisible injury, but that doesn’t mean individuals don’t suffer lingering effects. Left untreated, patients can suffer debilitating consequences such as balance issues, cognitive dysfunction and headaches. When symptoms linger or worsen, an interdisciplinary team of a neuropsychologist, speech therapist and other trained clinicians can provide a proper evaluation and appropriate intervention to support recovery.

Join us for this 60-minute webinar where you will:

  1. Discover signs, symptoms and progression of concussion
  2. Explore typical and atypical recovery, including post-concussion syndrome
  3. Learn the neuropsychologist’s role in establishing cognitive strengths and weaknesses and recommendations for symptom management
  4. Identify the speech therapist’s role in assessing and implementing treatment strategies for deficit areas
The 1 hour presentation will include 1.0 CEU credit for CCMC, CRC and NASW.
