Bancroft Launches Outpatient Program for Children and Youth with Severe Autism

Bancroft, the leading regional nonprofit provider of specialized services for individuals with autism, is launching a new outpatient treatment program to serve the needs of children and young adults living with autism.

The Severe Behavior Day Treatment Program — one of only a few like it in the nation — is designed to provide intensive clinic-based outpatient treatment for children and young adults who are experiencing severe behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, pica, or property destruction, that are interrupting their daily lives, impeding learning and preventing engagement in the community. The program, rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), incorporates evidence-based behavioral and medical support in a clinically rich environment.

Positioning Each for Success

The goal of the program is to reintegrate the child to their school and community. Therapies are provided by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)  and overseen by doctoral-level BCBAs with expertise in treating severe challenging behavior.

World-class Care Right Here in South Jersey

The program is located at 201 Kings Hwy South in Cherry Hill and will have access to the spectrum of resources Bancroft offers, including the ABA Center of Excellence. Through its team of behavior analysts, the center provides a truly unparalleled path to improving quality of life for those living with autism, and their families while ensuring internal clinical quality.

Full-day (6 hours) and half-day (3 hours) options are available. This intensive treatment program requires on average 12 weeks, depending on the needs of the child.
