Lisa Alberts is a doctoral level, dually board certified advanced practice nurse in both adult health and psychiatric mental health. She has over 30 years of nursing experience in a variety of healthcare settings, including Bancroft. As an advanced practice nurse for over 20 years, her expertise includes primary healthcare for adults as well as psychiatric and mental/behavioral healthcare to patients in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.

In addition to maintaining a clinical practice, Dr. Alberts has held supervisory roles in healthcare administration and has led transdisciplinary teams in different settings. She began her work at Bancroft in a volunteer capacity out of high school, joined the organization as Community Health Nurse and worked her way up to the position of Vice President of Nursing – and later to serve on the Bancroft Board of Trustees. She currently teaches at the graduate level in the School of Nursing and Health Science at LaSalle. She is also co-clinical director of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program and has taught Genetics for the APN, Psychopharmacology, and advanced core in the PMHNP program.
