Roy Day, Chief Human Resources Officer, oversees all HR functions at Bancroft. With over two decades of executive leadership in human resources, Roy is a dynamic and results-driven professional specializing in people operations across diverse industries, including non-profit, healthcare, behavioral health, private equity, and startups. A proven architect of high-performing HR functions, Roy has successfully built and led HR teams supporting organizations ranging from 250 to over 5,000 employees.
Prior to joining Bancroft, Roy served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Resources for Human Development (RHD). There, he spearheaded HR strategies for a 4,000-employee, multi-state nonprofit, delivering impactful cost-containment measures, talent acquisition enhancements, and strategic restructuring initiatives.
A recognized thought leader, Roy is passionate about aligning HR innovation with business objectives. His expertise in talent strategy, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, HR technology, and leadership development has consistently led to operational excellence, reduced litigation, and enhanced workplace culture.
Roy is actively engaged in the community, serving on various boards and mentors emerging HR professionals. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/Human Resources Management from Virginia State University and holds a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certification from Cornell University.
