(Mt. Laurel, N.J.) – Patrick Senft has been named Principal of The Bancroft School in Mt. Laurel, N.J., the flagship program of Bancroft, a leading regional nonprofit provider of specialized services for people with autism and intellectual disabilities and those in need of neurological rehabilitation.

He joined Bancroft as an adapted physical education teacher in 2000, and became an administrator in 2006, most recently serving as Supervisor of Education Transition Programs.A certified teacher, supervisor and principal in New Jersey, he has worked in each of the school’s three programs – elementary, high school and transition – and served for a time as Special Olympics coordinator.“Pat is well-respected by families and colleagues alike – and his breadth of experience and knowledge of the school and its students make him uniquely qualified for this new role,” said Dennis Morgan, Senior Vice President for Children’s Services.

“The Bancroft School has been a pioneer in special education for more than 135 years – and under Pat’s leadership, I am confident we will continue to find innovative new ways to help every student learn and grow in an environment built specifically for them.”Senft succeeds Judi Brown, who was recently promoted to Senior Operations Director for the Welsh Campus, overseeing the Bancroft School as well as the pediatric campus and community residential programs.Senft has a Bachelor’s degree in health & physical education from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in School Leadership from Wilmington University.
