Bancroft, in partnership with Ask Your Target Market, conducted a national online poll of parents with children ages 3-21 on the autism spectrum.
Survey questions ranged from concerns regarding access to care, transition into adult services and other challenges parents of a child face over a lifetime.
Of the 200 parents surveyed, more than 60 percent cited independence in adulthood as their top concern, although less than 20 percent of those same respondents have a comprehensive transition plan to support their child.
