Bancroft team members Robyn Rowe and Maria Rivera were featured in the news this week, sharing their stories as direct support professionals as part of a special announcement by the Camden County Board of Commissioners.

Rowe and Rivera, both program associates at the Jacob Schaefer Center day program, were the first Direct Support Professionals approved to receive a $1,000 grant available through Camden County’s Caregiver Grant program. The grant program, funded by federal COVID-relief funds, is available to anyone who works in a direct care/caregiver role and either lives, or works, in Camden County.

“I love coming to work each day and working with the men and women Bancroft supports,” Rowe said. “For those of us who do this type of work, we know this is a calling. It’s incredibly rewarding to make a direct impact on people’s lives.”
