Bancroft Celebrates DSP Week

Bancroft Celebrates DSP Week

Each September we honor the incredible work of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This year DSP Week runs from September 10 – 16 and celebrates the many hats they wear to provide care to those with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and neurological conditions.

“DSPs are the backbone of organizations like Bancroft,” states Bancroft President and CEO, Toni Pergolin. “They are advocates, supporters, cheerleaders, drivers, companions, cooks, and family support. They help men and women living with disabilities learn life skills, job skills and social skills. They earn the trust of those they serve and their families by being their authentic compassionate selves.”

There are over 2,000 DSPs working at Bancroft and over 30,000 throughout New Jersey.

Follow all of Bancroft’s DSP Week updates on social media or on our website at bancroft.org/heart.
