Transitional Employment
Providing real-world career opportunities
At Bancroft, we understand the importance of transition into a more independent lifestyle for adults and their families. For adults with intellectual or developmental disability, a job is more than a livelihood; it can be vital to a sense of identity, self-worth and confidence.
Bancroft Employment Enterprises (BEE) provides an array of practice fields for employment in a variety of industries utilizing a range of skills and meeting diverse interests.
Through transitional employment, our job coaches help your loved one attain the skills and training needed to progress to Supported Employment and more independent employment in the community.
What is BEE?
Bancroft Employment Enterprise (BEE) is a group of real small businesses created to prepare adults enrolled in our programs for Supported Employment through job coaching in a controlled and supervised environment. These businesses benefit employees by acclimating them to daily work life, working on job skills and helping them find greater independence as so they can find suitable employment in community-based businesses.
BEE businesses provide services to consumers and businesses in southern New Jersey, including Bancroft itself! If you need lawn care, laundry service, office support, printing and binding, contact program director Avi Glickman at 856-874-8332 or avi.glickman@bancroft.org to schedule.

The Right Fit
We work with each individual to gain insight into strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes to match them with a job that is both enjoyable and challenging. As workers explore different opportunities through BEE, we further refine their skills to a specific vocation that can lead to a fulfilling career in the workforce.
