Severe Behavior Treatment Program

Intensive Treatment Program for Severe & Challenging Behaviors

Our Severe Behavior Treatment Program offers intensive outpatient treatment for children and young adults ages 3-21 who are living with autism and experiencing severe and challenging behaviors that are interrupting their daily lives, impeding learning and preventing engagement in the community.

This unique program – rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and led by Bancroft’s ABA Center of Excellence Director, Tracy L. Kettering, Ph.D., BCBA-D – is designed to stabilize and reintegrate children whose behavioral challenges significantly impact quality of life and engagement with family.

Bancroft specializes in acute behaviors, operating over 275 programs throughout the region.

Stabilization for Reintegration

Therapies are provided by licensed Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and overseen by doctoral-level clinicians. Full-day and half-day options are available depending on the needs of the child. Applying evidence-based therapeutic interventions in a clinically rich environment, Bancroft’s team of experts works with each child to reduce severe behaviors and help stabilize them, allowing them to reintegrate back to their school and community.

Services may be covered by your health insurance or school district. Bancroft admissions specialists can help you work through the process. Call 800-774-5516 for more information.

This program is individualized. The length of the program depends on the needs of your child and whether they are enrolled in the full-day or half-day program.

We will keep you informed of your child’s progress throughout the treatment span. The final week of the program is dedicated to assisting you and your family with the transition from the program to your child’s daily routine.

This intensive outpatient program is a highly specialized, clinically-rich program designed to meet the unique needs of each child we support. Therapies are provided by licensed BCBAs overseen by doctoral-level clinicians in private treatment rooms.
