Meet Rosalie Knapp, RN, BSN #nursesweek

During Nurse Appreciation Week, we’re recognizing just a few of the 78 nurse heroes who work tirelessly to keep those we serve safe and healthy.

Meet Rosalie Knapp, RN, BSN.

A key member of our Infection Prevention planning and response team, Rosalie has been a guiding force behind Bancroft’s COVID-19 efforts to keep staff and those in our care safe.

She has worked tirelessly to train, inform and keep our staff ready for any such situations that can occur. The words THANK YOU can’t possibly express our gratitude!

Here’s more about Nurse Rosalie!

Rosalie received her BSN from Thomas Jefferson University and has been working as a nurse for 27 years! She is currently the Clinical Nurse Educator, Nurse Manager Gloucester Acute Medical Behavioral Homes and Infection Prevention Nurse. Rosalie joined Bancroft in January 2016.

“Nursing has been my passion and has given me many opportunities to provide care for individuals with Cognitive Disability and brain injury focusing my career in Infection Control, ICU, ER, Assisted Living, and working with the homeless population.”

“I love my job because I enjoy caring for people and doing my best to make them healthier and happier. To simply get a smile or gesture from an individual we serve to let me know everything’s alright is immensely rewarding.”

She says she loves working for Bancroft because of the knowledge, dedication and support from Leadership to each and every person we serve. There is a dedication to maintain continuity of care by constantly evaluating “what can we do better?” Leadership is constantly providing feedback and engaging staff which makes everyone feel like they are part of the team which inevitably improves outcomes.

“The COVID crisis has shown me how dedicated Bancroft is to making sure each and every individual we serve and staff are safe. The ‘all hands on deck’ approach during this pandemic is truly amazing as everyone rolls up their sleeves and does whatever it takes to get the job done. The entire team piled multiple hats on their heads whether it was to deliver PPE or other supplies, making sure that cleaning and disinfecting was done no matter what time or day of the week.”

THANKS FOR YOUR DEDICATION ROSALIE!
