Admissions

Getting Started

Navigating services for adults with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities can be challenging. Bancroft’s Admissions Specialists are here to help.

The first step in securing services is to determine which services your loved one is qualified to receive. This process will vary, depending upon the state where the person seeking services lives. Our Admissions Specialists are available to answer questions and help you navigate funding options at any step of the process.

Funding Details

In New Jersey, the first step is to contact your Supports Coordinator and tell them you are in need of services. Although services do not begin until age 21, individuals may be evaluated for eligibility as early as age 18. Through New Jersey’s fee-for-service system, eligibility for funding for adult services is determined by the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) or the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS).

For Pennsylvania residents, the first step is to obtain a Consolidated Waiver through the state’s Department of Human Services.

Delaware residents should first apply for services through the state’s Division of Developmental Disabilities Services.

Finding the Right Program

Once eligibility for services has been established, you may choose Bancroft as your program of choice. An Admissions team member will work with you to understand your loved one’s needs and goals and help them gain access to the expert services Bancroft offers. Our goal is to find the right services to meet the needs of each individual.

When you contact us, be prepared to provide:

  • The individual’s name
  • Age and Date of Birth
  • Their diagnosis or diagnoses
  • The types of services sought:
    • Residential Services
    • Day Programming

    • Whether the individual has funding in place
