Bancroft celebrated team members at the 34th Annual Breakfast of Champions, where employees throughout the organization were awarded in different categories, including Rookie, Maggie, Clinical Excellence, Leadership, Lifetime Service, Team and Bancroft’s highest honor, the Toni Award, which went to Kristen McCloud-Wey, Senior Director Case Management, who has been with Bancroft for over 18 years.
This year we received 590 nominations for 380 individual team members. The combined experience of those being honored was 338 years – more than Bancroft itself. Three winners were already members of the Quarter Century Club, meaning they have been with Bancroft for over 25 years. And one created a family tradition by winning — her mom was a 2023 winner.
“This is one of my favorite days of the year,” said Toni Pergolin, Bancroft President & CEO.
“I love seeing colleagues enjoying each other’s company and celebrating each other and the work we accomplished together this year. These winners are the influencers, game changers and visionaries, and I am thrilled that they got the recognition they deserve.”
Nominations were submitted from both staff and families whose loved ones are supported by Bancroft. Fifty-four final winners were awarded at the breakfast held at Maggiano’s in Cherry Hill. Nominations are opened each year in September with the Breakfast of Champions held in December.
Bancroft employs nearly 3,000 team members from throughout the Delaware Valley. Two-thirds of those working at Bancroft are direct care staff (DSPs) who are caregivers, advocates and companions to those with disabilities.
