Joe Staffieri, RN, a residential nurse case manager in Bancroft’s Lindens Neurobehavioral program, has been chosen as a finalist in the Independence Blue Cross Celebrate Caring campaign.
The campaign recognizes outstanding nurses in the region; Staffieri was selected as one of 10 finalists from among hundreds of nominees.
Staffieri joined the Bancroft team in 2016 – following a journey that has taken him from the bedside to becoming a nurse case manager in 2019.
“Joe consistently goes the extra mile to support the children in his program,” says his nomination, “whether it’s learning their likes and dislikes to improve their healthcare experience, playing and singing music for them, purchasing essentials for kids when their families can’t afford it, or coordinating Trunk or Treat events on campus every year.”
This isn’t the first time Staffieri has been recognized for his work: In 2018, he received a Maggie Award, which honors exemplary Bancroft team members.
IBX’S Celebrate Caring campaign recognizes outstanding nurses in our region. The 10 honorees were selected from among hundreds of nominations submitted by co-workers, patients, families, friends and others, with winners announced on May 8, during National Nurses Week. Learn more at ibx.com/nurses.
