As we work to support those in our care in the face of the COVID-19 virus, we are grateful for our dedicated staff.
Bancroft is a 24/7 organization. People with disabilities rely on our care and support every minute of the day. And most cannot be left alone.
At Bancroft, our 2,800 dedicated staff are in the homes, schools and programs with more than 1,500 lives in their hands. We can’t just shut down, close doors and keep employees home. These employees are the lifeline of children and adults who need us.
The COVID-19 virus has shaken us all at the core – and already put a tremendous strain on our staff… as they, too, have their own families to care for outside of the people we care for. But we need them. Society needs them to stay working and be dedicated to making sure those with Autism, intellectual and developmental disability are fed, cared for, and remain healthy during this tumultuous time in our world.
If you know someone who works at Bancroft, thank them for their work. Ask if they need any additional support you may be able to provide them (child care, food shopping, pet sitting) as we all chip in to help one another.
Support is needed always – but it’s critical now.
